Another big hit for Brüssow

Heinrich Brüssow, despite missing large chunks of the year through injury, has been named the toughest Cheetah for 2012.

Brüssow was selected by the coaches of the Free State Cheetahs (Currie Cup) and Cheetahs (Super Rugby) for the award.

Throughout the Super Rugby and Currie Cup seasons the coaches named a player after every match who made the team's 'toughest tackle' – as well as a player who they reckoned was the Most Valuable Player.

Two players received a cash price each week as a reward for the game they've played.

At the end of the year Brüssow was the player who received the awards most often.

Brüssow received the grand sum of R20,000.00.

Lappies Labuschagne was the Most Valuable player in 2011 and was the first player to receive this award.
