Kirchner blow for Bulls

Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner has been ruled out of this weekend's Super Rugby clash against the Highlanders at Loftus Versfeld.

It was hoped that Kirchner, who had a finger operation two months ago, would be fit to face the New Zealanders.

However, according to team doctor Org Strauss, the veteran fullback will sit out one more week.

Paul Willemse (10 weeks till his return, knee), Cornell Hess (six months, knee), Frans Venter (four weeks, groin) and Wiaan Liebenberg (four weeks, AC joint) are the only long term injuries, Strauss said.
