Road to Rio: Hosting the World

Over the next few weeks rugby365 will continue to bring you exclusive footage of the Springboks Sevens' build-up to the start of the World Series and, more importantly, their participation in the Olympics in Rio 2016!

With the World Sevens Series about to get underway, we caught up with coach Neil Powell, captain Kyle Brown, 2014/15 World Sevens Player of the Year Werner Kok and Sevens specialist Chris Dry.

The 2015/16 Sevens Series will see 10 legs of competition – starting in Dubai on December 4 – before moving to Cape Town (December 12-13), Wellington (January 30-31), Sydney (February 6-7), Las Vegas (March 4-6), Vancouver (March 12-13), Hong Kong (April 8-10), Singapore (April 16-17) and Paris (May 13-15) before the final leg in London (May 21-22).

It is a massive year for the world of Sevens as the game will make its Olympic debut in the 2016 Rio Games.
