Chudley cleared of kicking charge

Chudley was cited following the weekend’s Premiership semifinal between Exeter and Wasps for allegedly kicking Joe Launchbury, an act which is contrary to Law 10.4(c).

The panel, comprised of John Doubleday, Nick Dark and Daniel White (chairman), concluded that the contact to Launchbury was caused as a result of Chudley’s knee being deflected off the thigh of Matt Mullan. 

It was therefore deemed not reckless and the charge was dismissed.
