Munster-bound Du Toit to return to Sharks

Du Toit, who will spend three-months with Munster on a loan agreement, has signed a three-year contract extension with the Durban-based Sharks.

He will re-join the Sharks' Super Rugby training squad in January.

"We have no doubt that this opportunity will allow Thomas to gain valuable experience and some important game-time under his belt, ahead of the start of the 2017 Super Rugby tournament," Currie Cup coach, Robert du Preez said of Toit's stint with Munster.

"The European Cup tournament is a competition where scrummaging is at the forefront, and this will add to his growth and development as a player."
