Flank Roelof Smit, who left the field with a head injury in the win over the Rebels this past weekend, will not face the Highlanders.
He underwent scans and will be sidelined for at least this week.
The team welcomes back Nic de Jager and Travis Ismaiel with both players back in full training.
De Jager has fully recovered from the rib fracture he suffered in the loss to the Reds on tour, while Ismaiel has recovered from his back 'niggle'.
Ruan Steenkamp is progressing nicely from the knee injury he suffered on tour and has returned to team training.
Tim Agaba suffered a bicep contusion during the Provincial Challenge match against the Pumas. Scans revealed that it is not that serious and he should be available for selection soon.
Unfortunately, flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff has suffered a meniscus injury that requires surgery – which will keep him sidelined for six weeks.
Hanro Liebenberg's knee surgery went well and he will also be out for six weeks.
