It’s the final countdown. Or the final round of Super Rugby fixtures. For a few teams, their quest for silverware will come to an end this weekend.

The 2019 Super Rugby season is heading for the knockout stages, just after we get through this weekend’s fixtures.

From a South African perspective, there’s still hope, despite the woeful season all teams had.

In the Australian conference, the Waratahs remain in with an outside chance, but the tussle for top spot is between the Brumbies and the Rebels.

The Crusaders look set to win the New Zealand conference, but you already knew that, didn’t you? The Hurricanes are likely to be the other side to make it through.
