Referee change for Murrayfield

Whitehouse for Courtney

There has been a change of referee for Saturday’s Test between Scotland and New Zealand at Murrayfield.

Donal Courtney (Ireland) has had to stand down with an adductor strain. Nigel Whitehouse (Wales), who was on duty at Murrayfield when he ran the line against Argentina earlier this month, takes his place as referee.

The touch-judges remain unchanged as Chris White (England) and George Clancy (Ireland) with Christophe Berdos (France) as the television match official.

Whitehouse’s promotion to referee at Murrayfield means that David Changleng (Gala) will now act as No.1 touch-judge at the Ireland v Romania international in Dublin this weekend with Peter Allan (Watsonians) making his senior international debut as No.2 touch-judge.
